Vancouver, Canada is a very exciting, historical, and

economical city. It is located in the province of British Colombia. A neat fact about Vancouver is that in 2010 the city will hold the 2010 winter Olympics.
There is also interesting historical stuff about Vancouver too. The city got its name from George Vancouver. The city had a ton of people after the Cariboo Gold Rush of 1861. This gold rush brought 25,000 people to Vancouver. The city was originally settled in the 1860s do to the Canyon Gold Rush. The town ended up as a small lumber mill town. Then in 1887 the transcontinental railroad arrived. The small town became a metropolitan city. The climate in this city ranges from 42 degrees fahrenheit to 74 degrees fahrenheit through out the year. That’s a little bit about Vancouver’s history.
There is a ton of stuff to do in Vancouver. People might want to visit Vancouver for many reasons. They might come for the up coming Olympics. Or maybe see a favorite sports team or go skiing or snowboarding or who knows what, because there’s so much more to do! The HSBC Celebration of Lights attracts tons of visitors. This is an amazing fireworks show that lights up the Vancouver night sky.








This port dose more than 43 billon dollars in trade annually. The port also generates 4 billon dollars in gross domestic product and 8.9 billon in economics output. Vancouver also has the highest housing product in Canada. That’s a little bit about Vancouver’s economics.
As you can see, Vancouver is a spectacular place. It has beautiful mountains. Tourists can enjoy themselves skiing or snowboarding. The city has many attractions that help their economy. Vancouver’s history is exciting and interesting. The Port of Vancouver is a great money maker to help keep Vancouver a top city!
